You’ve got engaged; you’ve announced to everybody that it’s finally happening but now you need to start planning! Choosing your Wedding Venue is the pivotal point in your journey which enables you to then plan everything else around it.
Once you’ve found your dream venue, everything slowly slots into place and you’re then able to have your dreamed visuals burst into a reality!
Firstly, figure out what is most important to you both. Are you both foodies? Are you both looking for a venue with complete exclusivity? Or are you looking for a venue which can accommodate your guests overnight? Luckily, at CCH we are more than happy to be able to deliver on all of the above!
Once you have figured your three golden points, you should narrow down to a maximum of 5 venues to visit. If you view too many, they become a blur and before you know it you’re ‘Wedding-To-Do list’ transforms itself into a ‘Venue Pros / Cons list’. ALWAYS ensure these venues are suitable for your guest numbers before you view them.
TOP TIP: Whenever possible get a brochure from the venue, so that you can refer back at any point
If at this stage, you haven’t already found your Dream Venue, you need to cut at least two venues from the list – that wallpaper you didn’t like? You weren’t being pedantic, take it off the list!
Revisit the remaining venues and revert to your three golden points. Can they offer you the menu you would like? Is the venue exclusive use? Do they have bedrooms onsite for some of your guests?
Once these boxes are ticked, you can then get the finer details in order and proceed with your booking, and the rest of your special plans will fall smoothly into place!
