Henry and Alice

Wedding Date – 6th July 2024
‘A classic summer wedding with garden games and a green and white colour scheme’

Take a look at Henry and Alice’s beautiful summer wedding at Cockliffe Country House Hotel in Nottingham. Full of sunshine, laughter, and timeless touches, along with an evening of garden games! It’s the perfect inspiration for a relaxed and elegant day.

What was your inspiration for your special day?

Our vision for our wedding was to just keep it simple. With Cockliffe being such a lovely venue, you don’t need to do much to make the room look even more lovely than what it is. We wanted to use suppliers as much as possible that knew the venue too so they could help us.

What was the best part of your day?

I think its hard to pick out just one part, the whole day couldn’t have gone much better, but having our family and friends there to see us say I DO, has to be up there.

Why did you choose Cockliffe Country House?

It had everything we wanted, we only looked three or four venues, but we both knew that Cockliffe was for us after our first visit.

How did you decide which menu was right for your day?

With it being a summer wedding, we wanted to go with a menu that complimented us and the season.

What was the hardest part of your wedding planning?

I think trying to finalise the little bits which just make the day perfect and all the extra bits you don’t think about when you first get engaged, but the planning goes by so quickly.

What were your favourite parts of the venue?

I don’t think there is one favourite bit, the whole venue is stunning, from the grounds to the Elliott suite to the rooms.

If you have any advice for new marrying couples, what would it be?

Take your time, there are so many wedding shows you can go to. Enjoy the planning as like I have already said, the time will go by so quickly, enjoy the day too as it goes so so fast.
