‘A beautiful winter wedding with a red colour scheme’

Marrying with us in November, Ian and Lisa chose a red colour scheme for their winter wedding, with pops of the colour through their flowers and decor. Opting for a more relaxed wedding day, they chose our ‘Fall’in In Love’ package, which includes a ceremony, drinks reception with canapes and then straight to the evening party! What was your inspiration for your special day?

We wanted a winter wedding, so that was the main inspiration for our day. We chose red as the colour scheme, which went perfectly with our winter theme.

What was the best part of your day?

It has to be walking down the aisle & seeing the reaction from my fiance.

Why did you choose Cockliffe Country House?

We chose Cockliffe because we loved that it was a small, pretty, exclusive venue with fabulous overnight rooms. Also, the staff were wonderful.

What was the hardest part of your wedding planning?

Choosing the dress and the alterations. Also, handling guest invitations & replies.

What were your favourite parts of the venue?

It was very well organised throughout the day – nothing was too much trouble! Fabulous venue with beautiful rooms and wonderful friendly staff.

If you have any advice for new marrying couples, what would it be?

Get yourself a to do list and tick it off as you go along. You will always spend more than you budgeted for, but try and shop around. 20% of your guests won’t accept, so have a maybe list.
