‘A fun Summer wedding in Nottingham with a pink and rose gold colour scheme’

What was your inspiration for your special day?

We fell in love! Then we wanted to share our happiness with those closest to us, in an intimate, chilled and relaxed way.

What was the best part of your day?

Not one bit stands out! It was all just perfect… The house, the grounds, the staff, the food, the laughter!!!!

Why did you choose Cockliffe Country House?

It was the first venue we looked at, we had another appointment booked the day after but just fell in love with Cockliffe the moment we pulled up! After being shown around we knew there was no need to look elsewhere, we had found our perfect venue for our summer wedding.

The best part is the fact the venue is just ours for the day with the exclusive use – private and beautiful.

How did you decide which menu was right for your day?

The taster evening helped us decide the style we wanted, and what we didn’t want. So in the end a Sunday wedding deserves a Sunday lunch – everyone loved the food!

What was the hardest part of your wedding planning?

The way time whizzed by on the lead up to it in the last 4 weeks! So we had a busy last push to organise the finishing touches, but we loved every second of it.

What were your favourite parts of the venue?

All of it!! Everything was perfect for the day… the grounds were super impressive, the place stunning, the interior super smart and the staff all brilliant.

If you have any advice for new marrying couples, what would it be?

Go see the team at Cockliffe, they are a really soft sell approach venue, leaving you to choose it because it sells itself the moment you arrive.

Keep the day chilled, it’s your day, you’re the hosts, the stars and the glue that holds the day together. Also, relish every second of the planning, and the day – it goes so fast!
